Eureka! The trick to transfer photos quickly from iPhone XR to PC

I tried everything while transferring photos from my iPhone XR to my Windows 10 laptop, but kept getting the error: ‘A device attached to the system is not functioning’.

Here’s what solved it:

Go to Settings on your iPhone –> Photos–> Go all the way down to Transfer to Mac or PC and select Keep Originals.
